Speaker 1:

Today's promise goes to the heart of our anger. It's found in Psalm 37, verse 8, and it says refrain from anger and turn from wrath. Do not fret, it leads only to evil. When was the last time you felt angry, like really angry? What triggered that anger within you? Was it a sense of injustice, a hurt ego, or something else entirely? How did you react in that moment and what were the consequences?

Speaker 1:

Our verse for today acknowledges that there is wrath and there is anger, but it's asking us to let go of the grip of anger. The truth is that our anger often comes from our pride being hurt or ego being bruised, and sometimes we allow this anger to control us. But our verse today is asking us to choose humility and peace instead, because when we refrain from anger, we create space for understanding and reconciliation. We open up ourselves to the possibility of forgiveness and grace, both for ourselves and for others. So the next time anger threatens to consume you, can I encourage you to take a step back, breathe and choose a response that reflects the love and patience of our Heavenly Father?

Speaker 1:

Today, my prayer is that you reflect on Psalm 37, verse 8 and consider how you can apply it in your life. How can you turn from wrath and choose peace instead? And as you make this choice, may you experience the transformative power of letting go of anger and embracing the peace that surpasses all understanding. That's our promise for today. Thank you for stopping by. I trust that you'll stop by again tomorrow. Have a good day.
